It’s My Day Again!!!

Every year, October 30th is set aside as #NationalPublicistDay to honor all Publicists for their hard work. TBH (To be honest), I discovered that I wanted to be a Publicist in 2003 and decided to pursue it full-time with a BA degree in Communication!

Is it always easy? NO….Especially when the artist’s music needs to be pushed and you are SOLELY the main person responsible for doing so. Is it worth it though?? YES!! It affords you many opportunities and takes you many places. I would definitely say that this is really great for anyone who’s star-struck and loves to meet celebrities!! I would say though, at the same time, never forget that it is a career that still comes with many sacrifices and obstacles.

However, if you know this is what God has placed inside of you, continue to seek it out and learn all you can about what it takes to be a great Publicist! Study others who are Publicists..that’s what I did and continue to do!

Last year, I was blessed and still shocked to have been awarded during the 2017 “East Texas Gospel Music Heritage” Month for my contributions to the Gospel Music Industry! The same can happen for you in your respective field!! Never give up on your dreams!
